Cheltenham Science Festival

Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th June 2010

Imperial Gardens, (behind the Town Hall), Cheltenham

GGT will be presenting a new exhibition at the Cheltenham Science Festival 2010, with the generous support of local company Geotechnical Engineering Ltd.

The exhibition, entitled ‘The Tale of Gloucester’ will be on display over the two Family Funs Days on the closing weekend of the Festival. There will be a childrens’ fossil finding activity, a display on the importance of geological investigations and how they are carried out and an exhibition of local rocks, minerals and fossils that outline key events in Gloucestershire’s geological history.

This will be an amazing opportunity to learn about Gloucestershire’s local geology and how it affects everyday life. Geologists will also be available to answer questions and visitors are invited to bring along their own rock and fossils specimens for examination.
