Guided Walk - The Geology of the Area around May Hill & Huntley

Saturday 26th June 2010

A guided walk from Huntley Quarry geology reserve to May Hill, taking in the unique geology of the Huntley Quarry Beds and Huntley Hill Formation of the May Hill Sandstone.

The walk to the top of May Hill will look at the local landscape, the geological structure of May Hill and the surrounding countryside. Spectacular views (on a clear day) are provided of the Cotswolds, Forest of Dean, Black Mountains and beyond.

Start: 12.00 noon at the Country Garden Centre, Huntley

Finish: 4.00pm
