Blue-grey, nodular argillaceous limestone with greenish shaly calcareous mudstone

Upper Boundary
Transitional with Upper Ludlow Shale (Whitcliffe Beds) locally.

Lower Boundary
Transitional with Lower Ludlow Shale.
