Strategic Stone Survey
(Commissioned by English Heritage)

The Geology Trusts have been commissioned by English Heritage to provide information about the building stones available in each of the GT counties. The aim is for EH to be able to quickly and easily identify the types, uses and sources of various building stones, and to use this information to help in the conservation and restoration of important heritage buildings. GGT are carrying out the survey work in Gloucestershire.
