Bridgnorth Sandstone

New Red Sandstone
Bridgnorth Sandstone

Lithology
Cross bedded aeolian sandstones, mainly brick red, soft, medium-grained. Buff mottling common.

Upper Boundary
Unconformably overlain by fluvial dominated sequence of the Bromsgrove Sandstone.

Lower Boundary
Unconformable on Coal Measures and interpreted early Permian breccias (Haffield Breccia).
