Robinswood Hill has a fascinating geological history. Come along on this practical day and help our Geowardens clear vegetation, expose geological structures and fossils, maintain paths, and much more. All people are welcome and no experience is needed, just enthusiasm for working outdoors and learning about geoconservation. With great views to the surrounding Gloucestershire countryside, tea and cakes, and good company, it is a great way to spend time!

Abberley and Malvern Hills Geopark – GeoFest 2015
Get involved in the three month programme of events and activities for GeoFest 2015. Throughout June, July and August the events include walks, talks, and children's activities along with 'Ask the Expert' sessions and demonstrations which explore the geology, landscape, history and wildlife of the Abberley and Malvern Hills Geopark. St Barnabas Church Hall, Stroud Road. Robinswood Hill is formed of rocks laid down during the Jurassic period. Find out more about the geological history of the hill and the creatures that inhabited it millions of years ago

October 2015

29th October, 1 – 4pm, Rock and Fossil Roadshow, The Old Prison
Event co-organised by The Old Prison, Northleach, GL53 3JH.

A fun day to discover the local geology and the prison itself. Get involved in the many crafts and activities: make your own prehistoric creature, dig for fossils and gems, bring your own specimens for identification and make your own dinosaur mask.
