Lithology
Red mudstones and silty mudstones with calcretes and sandstones. Townsend Tuff Bed 100m from top; Bishop's Frome Limestone at top.

Upper Boundary
Drawn at top of Bishop's Frome (Psamosteus)Limestone.

Lower Boundary
Conformable junction with underlying Downton Castle Sandstone Formation.
