Througham Tilestone

Lithology
Grey, fissile, sandy limestones and fine-grained ooidal grainstones. Thickens westwards from the Cirencester district to the type area around Througham village.

Upper Boundary
Upward passage into coarser grained limestones of the Taynton Limestone Formation.

Lower Boundary
Generally sharp tranistion from mudstones of the Fuller's Earth Formation.
